Work. Take Root. Thrive.
A shared space to work, learn, and cross paths, in the heart of the Ribeira Sacra.
Rizoma is a shared workspace in the center of Monforte de Lemos. You get a desk, wifi, coffee and tea, and quiet when you need it, and people around when you don't.
The name comes from rhizomes: roots that spread and connect without a center. No single point of control, just growth in all directions. That's the kind of place we're trying to tend.
Rizoma is not just a place to be, but a place to cross paths.
All kinds of people and projects pass through. Some regulars:
Independent professionals who need structure and community outside the home. A place that feels like your own without having to manage it.
For those who want to separate work and personal life and keep a healthy routine. When where you work is different from where you live, everything shifts a little.
Artists and designers who need an inspiring, flexible space. Sharing a room with people on different projects opens things up.
Digital nomads and pilgrims passing through the Ribeira Sacra who need somewhere to work for a few days.
If you're looking for a quiet place to work in Monforte, you'll probably fit right in.
Rizoma works collectively. You contribute by the day or by the month, depending on how often you come. What we collect covers the costs, and anything left over goes towards whatever we need. What that means in practice, we decide together.

Yes, there's a separate office you can use freely. If it gets busy, we'll put up a schedule.
We occasionally host workshops, talks, and after-work gatherings, organized by the people who pass through.
Not strictly, but it helps. If you want to visit or try the free day, drop us a line a day or two ahead so we can be there to welcome you properly.
Yes. Rúa Malloadas usually has spaces, and the Escolapios car park is just a few minutes on foot.
No. Rizoma works for locals and for remote workers looking for a temporary base. What matters isn't where you're from, but that you stick around for a while. The longer, the more it makes sense.
If any of this sounds good, get in touch and we'll talk.
